Universal Voltas and its associated ventures have played critical roles in the GCC region, including Saudi Arabia. Universal Comfort Products, originally a joint venture, became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Voltas, focusing on manufacturing room air conditioners and split air conditioners.
Another key joint venture, Saudi Ensas Engineering Services Co., is engaged in executing and maintaining electromechanical installations in Saudi Arabia. Voltas has acquired controlling stakes in Saudi Ensas and it operates under the umbrella of Universal MEP Projects Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based fully owned subsidiary of Voltas, maintaining their economic interest and operational control in the region.
