1. Use a Global Resume Format

Stick to reverse-chronological format (most recent experience first).

Keep it 1–2 pages (unless applying in countries like Germany where longer CVs are acceptable).

Use clean, professional fonts and a simple layout (e.g., Arial, Calibri, no graphics unless required).

 2. Personal Details (Top Section)

Include:

Full Name

Professional Title (e.g., Software Engineer, Registered Nurse)

Email (professional address)

Phone number (with country code)

LinkedIn profile (optional but recommended)

Nationality and Work Visa Status (if applicable)

Avoid:

Date of birth, marital status, religion, or photo—unless the country (e.g., Germany or UAE) expects it.

3. Professional Summary (3–4 lines)

Write a strong summary that highlights:

Years of experience

Key skills

Industry/domain

Interest in international roles

Example:

> Experienced Civil Engineer with 6+ years in infrastructure projects across Asia. Skilled in AutoCAD, project management, and cross-cultural teamwork. Seeking international opportunities to apply expertise in sustainable construction.

4. Key Skills / Technical Skills

Use bullet points with job-relevant and international keywords:

Examples: Data Analysis, SAP, AWS, Project Planning, Customer Service, Multilingual, ISO Standards

Tip: Check job descriptions abroad and copy their language.

5. Work Experience

List in reverse-chronological order:
