Prince Sultan Military Medical City (PSMMC), also known as Riyadh Armed Forces Hospital, stands as one of the most advanced and respected healthcare institutions in the Middle East. PSMMC operates under the Medical Services Department (MSD) of the Ministry of Defense (MOD), playing a key role in the Kingdom’s military healthcare system. The hospital was founded by King Khalid bin Abdulaziz in December 1978, initially opening its doors with 385 beds to meet the growing healthcare needs of Riyadh’s population.
As part of its continuous expansion:
Al Kharj Military Industries Corporation Hospital was opened in 1979 with 60 beds
King Abdulaziz Military Academy Hospital was launched in 1983 with 34 beds
